“Traditional Training, Life Skills, Fitness, Confidence, and Discipline All Wrapped Up In A Hometown Feel.”
Welcome to Red Rock Martial Arts in beautiful St. George, Utah.
At Red Rock Martial Arts, we teach the art of traditional Tang Soo Do, where we say
“This isn’t a sport, it’s a lifestyle.”
Our major focus is physical fitness, character development, and self-defense rather than fighting; however our main goal is in building our students’ self-esteem.
As soon as you become a martial arts student, you join a community that works together toward improved physical strength and stamina, better focus and concentration, greater self-discipline, respect, competency in self-defense and most importantly, increased self-confidence.
For students who study at Red Rock, the practice of martial arts means respecting, encouraging and supporting each other and celebrating each other’s successes. It also means the mastery of the self.
These values are especially important in working with children. However, we have martial arts programs for students of all ages and skill levels.
For children, our emphasis is on character development and physical fitness, as well as focus and respect.
With adults, our goal is to deliver all of the health benefits of martial arts, including improved muscle tone, increased endurance, stress management, increased energy, and improved flexibility. Self-defense is also emphasized, but it’s always tempered with the training on how to seek alternatives to conflict.
Each of our martial arts instructors is committed to teaching the physical skills while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student.

Red Rock Marital Arts in St George, Utah gives children and adults a reason to be proud. Let’s face it, martial arts is not just a sport, it’s a way of life. It gives people a sense of pride and accomplishment for doing something worthwhile and positive. It allows those who participate in it to feel capable and strong because it makes them capable and strong.
Martial arts is different from most elitist sports. It focuses on the individual, and in building up those involved in it. It allows people, both children and adults to be able to grow and become stronger, more fulfilled human beings who feel confident no matter what situation is presented in front of them. Martial arts is an excellent way of building confidence and self-defense against such situations as bullying, harassment, and assault.
Martial arts doesn’t neglect anyone. If you’re not quick enough you can’t be a running back; if you’re not strong enough chances are you won’t be a defensive lineman. In martial arts, if you’re dedicated, and you apply yourself to become a better martial artist, you will become a black belt.
Often times, martial arts is more mental than it is physical. It is not about what you can and can’t do; it is about what you believe you can do, and taking the steps to be able to get there. The instructors at Red Rock Martial Arts will help you or your child by focusing on building on weakness and cultivating strengths.
Let’s face it: “Super-size” is not just an option on a fast food menu anymore. Due to increased availability of food at a “right here, right now” kind of pace, people have been taking full advantage of this and running with it. With ice cream sundaes complete with bacon crumbles, it’s no wonder obesity is on the rise at a dangerous rate.
At Red Rock Martial Arts we strive to make every class high-energy, and packed full of exercises and drills guaranteed to make the sweat flow, and encourage each of our students to train outside of class in order to become a much healthier, more active person that they can be proud to be. In Tang Soo Do, we firmly follow the three purposes of training. One of which is Health. We promote our physical, mental, and spiritual health and enjoy strong bodies and sound minds through rigorous training. The second purpose is Becoming a Better Person. We strive to be of better character through endurance and hard work. For many people, becoming a better person, or a better version of themselves, is becoming more physically fit and enjoying the benefits of better health through exercise. We are happy to help in that regard.
Regardless of your fitness level or ability, we can take you to where you want to be, both mentally and physically.
